New SHSAT and How You Can Prepare

On January 18, 2017, the Department of Education released a series of changes to the Specialized High School Tests (SHSAT) format. This includes: Elimination of old test materials Update to test questions that are more reflective of the common core curriculum Additional 30 minutes added to total test time Most notably, scrambled paragraphs and logic reasoning questions will be replaced with editing & revising questions. This summer, we're taking SHSAT and SAT classes to the beautiful campus at Berkeley College in Downtown Brooklyn!  On May 6, 2017, we'll be hosting our mock SHSAT exam from 1-4PM. Summer 2017 - Register before 5/20 for $40 Discount

Summer Registration has officially begun!  Our learning center specializes in preparing students in grades 3 to 12 for annual statewide tests and admission examinations into top middle school, high school and colleges. This year, 396 of our students were admitted to Specialized High Schools among which 159 of them gained admissions to Stuyvesant High School.  Additionally, we've expanded our class offerings to include English Language Learner (ELL) classes for grades 3-8!  Registration is open and seats are limited. New York City requires their eighth and ninth grade students to take the Specialized High Schools Admissions Test, or the SHSAT, to determine admission to one of the cities nine Specialized High Schools. On average, 20,000 students take the SHSAT test a year but only a fraction of those are offered admission to one of those schools.
